Practical Colour Theory

Practical Colour Theory

2011-12

7 Photographs
20 x 30 cm each
Practical Colour Theory is a series of “before and after” photographs that document how sweat changes the colour of t-shirts. While the use of “before and after” photographs is common to the gymnasium context, this series diverts the focus from the body to its processes and accessories while drastically shortening the normal period of time between “before” and “after”. It is an exploration of the distinction between human product and artistic product, and an absurd attempt to understand and demonstrate the conjunction of theory and practice.
